Bumpy Wool Wrap

Natural, breathable felted wool is cool in summer and warm in winter. This velcro closing wrap also has snaps in size medium and up. This comes up high enough to accommodate fitted diapers, but it is not at all baggy through the rear, so it also provides a great no-slip fit for unpinned prefold diapers! It's a very well-designed, great fitting high quality cover. Wool requires care at washtime, but it's worth it. Made in Japan and labeled for Imse Vimse™ in Sweden. We think these runs generally a bit larger than the sizes listed, but see notes for each size. Note that the sizes overlap weights. Newborn and small are very close in size to each other really, so many babies can skip a size and go right to medium. This cover is terrific it's versatile, natural and breathable.

Sizes: Newborn 6.5 to 13 pounds (larger than most newborn size covers)

Small 11 - 17 pounds (probably correct)

Medium 15 - 22 pounds (probably correct)

Large 20 - 26 pounds (close, but perhaps fits to 28 pounds)

Extra-Large 24 - 30 pounds (this probably fits up to 35 pounds)

Super-Large 28 + pounds (we think this fits more like 35 to 50 pounds)

Aristocrats Pull-On Wool Pant

See this on a baby. It's much cuter on a baby than it looks in this picture.

Why wool? Wool is breathable. This cover is a favorite at nighttime because it virtually never leaks. The wool is totally untreated and is naturally antibacterial thus doesn’t retain odors. Is wool itchy? Commerical wool can be, but this wool is untreated and wonderfully soft. Don’t be afraid to try wool! This style has been loved for generations because it is so effective. The knit stretches for a gentle and comfortable fit over a very wide size range. A must for the family bed! Nighttime heavy wetter? This is the answer. It's cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Yes, really! That's because it's so breathable. It does need more care at washtime than other covers, but it is well worth it. Hand wash. Organic Double Knit Pull-On Wool Pant

Demeter Certified Organic, beautiful knitted wool similar to the Aristocrat above, but has a different shape to it. We like the snugger waist that this style has (although is is still soft and comfortable). This size small is smaller than the Aristocrat size small. The Aristocrat is slightly thicker, thus may perform just a bit better, but this one is a little softer. Which one do I like better? Tough choice. I go back and forth. Both are excellent. I think I prefer the fit of this one because of the way the leg and waist openings are, and it keeps it shape well after washing, and doesn't get hard if you shrink it. (It is designed to shrink some, and should be washed and shrunk a bit before first use). Do not confuse this organic cover for ones which look similar but are not organic or may be single knit, not double knit as this beautiful cover is. Made in Germany. This cover is terrific because it natural and breathable.

Night Wool Wrap

Nice and thick for nighttime, but in an easy to use wrap style closing with velcro. This is the only nighttime wool cover that works with an unpinned prefold. It also works well with fitteds, too. Made in Germany. This cover is terrific because it is thick, natural, breathable and easy to get on and off the baby.

Lansinoh lanolin and Eucalan Woolwash are on the Other Stuff page. Eucalan is important. Your wool covers will leak if the lanolin is stripped from them with regular woolwash.

LANA Merino Wool Pull-On

Merino wool is perhaps the softest, most luxurious wool in the world. This is the trimmest fitting and least bulky of the wool pull-ons, thus is the best choice in this style for daytime use. It is also excellent for nighttime. This wool is so soft I could use it to cover my pillow next to my face (and I used say I am "I allergic to wool", since I am very uncomfortable and itchy in wool sweaters. Diaper wool is not like commercial wool!) The size large has an elasticized waist. You have to feel this cover to believe it. The picture does not do justice to this cover. Designed in Demark, produced in Lithuania. This cover is terrific because it is trim and soft.
